Welcome to Talking Plant Protein. I’m Nicole Astra and this is Industry News.
Around the globe, consumers are expressing increased interest in good sports nutrition – and in plant-based foods as well. And one research firm says mixing those trends continues to be a recipe for success.
Meticulous Market Research announced in a new report that it expects the plant-based protein supplements market to reach a $9.57 billion value by 2027. The firm predicts a compound annual growth rate of 7.8 percent across the period that ends that year and started in 2020.
The Meticulous report segments the market by five different categories including protein type and geography. The firm says soy protein will remain the largest segment type in plant-based supplements, but pea protein is likely to experience the fastest growth. As for geography, North American markets are the largest but Meticulous says the Asia-Pacific region shows great opportunities for growth over the next six years.
