The International V-Label Awards recognizes positive impact, quality, and innovation. In their first annual awards program, the big winners were — Best Meat Alternative: Faux Gras de GAIA from Belgium and Best Dairy Alternative: Carrefour Sensation from France. The Best in Confectionery and Snacks and Best in Cosmetics Awards also were announced along with Sustainability, Innovation, and Positive Impact.
Welcome to Talking Plant Protein. I’m Nicole Astra with a TPP News Minute. The International V-Label Awards were announced Nov. 4. The awards recognize positive impact, quality and innovation.
Big Winners were: Best Meat Alternative, Faux Gras de GAIA from Belgium, a delicious and animal-friendly alternative to foie gras. And Best Dairy Alternative went to Carrefour Sensation in France, a Vegetable specialty with strawberry flavored coconut milk.
Best in Confectionery and Snacks and Best in Cosmetics Awards were also announced as well as company-focused categories such as Sustainability, Innovation, and Positive Impact.
Awards program manager, Jenifer Linares, said “Our goal was to receive the best stories from the industry and inspire more companies to follow along. With overwhelming figures such as 577 entries and 42,856 cast votes by consumers, we can say that we have definitely managed to create the echo the innovators and leaders of the plant-based industry deserve.”
